Get Involved

We are are always looking for people to join our team (did we mention we have a lot of fun, too?) A few things you can be a part of are:

1. Teach: Run a workshop for moms

2. Babysit: Take care of the kids during mom workshops

3. Road trip: Collect books and take them to drop locations

4. Emote: Write thank you notes to our amazing donors

5. Inscribe: Dedicate book gifts prior to final delivery so our recipients know who gave them their books

   

Literacy Matters.
Thirty-seven percent of American fourth graders read below the "Basic" level on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) reading test (NCES, 2003).

Studies of individual families show that what they do to support literacy in the home is more important to student success than family income or education (Ballen & Moles, 1994).
