Donate Books

 

Not only can you give money, you can go straight to the source and give books. We've arranged for a few drop-off locations as well. If you have a ton, we can try to arrange a pick-up just for you.

Book Guidelines:

- New or gently used only (covers and pages intact, clean and readable).

- Hardcover picture books with brightly colored pictures and interesting stories are ideal.

- Please send books that are appropriate for children ages 6 months to 6 years old.

- Books about sensitive issues like divorce, abuse or death cannot be accepted. If included, they will be discarded

   

Literacy Matters.
Thirty-seven percent of American fourth graders read below the "Basic" level on the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) reading test (NCES, 2003).

Studies of individual families show that what they do to support literacy in the home is more important to student success than family income or education (Ballen & Moles, 1994).
